2020 VISION

Journey Church has a storied history in downtown Bend. When God first led us to what is our current location, we were a much smaller church than we are today. Over the years, God has shown us time and time again that Journey should remain in downtown Bend. As we look forward to 2020, the Elders of Journey Church have decided that we have three main goals as it pertains to our building.
REFINANCE - We currently enjoy financing through one of the previous owners. We have a balloon payment due in September of 2020. Through the council of the Journey Finance Team, it has been determined that our number one priority is to refinance the building now. REMODEL - In addition to the refinance, we have been working with a local designer and architect to redesign and remodel the building. Phase 1 of the remodel is to completely redo both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms and upstairs lobby. Not only will this repair some of the piping that is failing and bring them up to code, but it has been designed in such a way that will allow us to some day build a higher capacity auditorium. REDMOND - Simultaneously we are looking to multiply Journey Church by establishing another church in Redmond. We estimate that we have over 400 families who travel to Bend on Sundays. By bringing Journey Church to Redmond we believe we can not only add back some capacity in our Bend location, but we will also be able to continue to be a church for the unchurched by partnering with the families we already have in Redmond to reach deeper in to the local community. |
